Partied too hard....

Chanel went to a 3rd birthday party this afternoon for one of her little daycare friends. Rather than traditional party games there was a huge array of toys for the kids to play with. A real life fire engine arrived as the birthday boy was a fan, so the kids got to sit in the truck and the firemen explained about the equipment.

Daddy took Charlotte with him for the day and they are still not home. Chanel and I had dinner together, steak, broccolini and chips. Chanel suddenly became very quite and fell asleep at the table. At least she didn't go face first into the tomato sauce!

Block Swap

I am taking part in a block swap with a group of dear friends. We are making two blocks per month for a different person per month in colours they stipulate. Dopey me hasn't taken any photos of the four block I have made so far but I have photos of the two I have received.
I asked for my blocks to be in pink, cream and green. This is what Rosemary sent me, aren't they great!

Another Nine Patch Snowball Wall Hanging

Well, I am still here. I had no idea having a daughter in Grade one would be so time consuming, but although I am still reading my favourite blogs daily, posting just doesn't enter my head.

Last weekend was Queens Birthday Weekend here in Oz and we went down to Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley for my Brother in law Geoff's 50th birthday. His birthday is later this month but he had the party on the long weekend for those of us who had to travel.

Now those of you living here in Australia know the Hunter Valley region was devasted by storms and floods last weekend. We drove through all that and snow on the top of the ranges! Approx 10 hours driving each way. Never mind we made it safelty down there and back home again.

For Geoff's present I made him a wall hanging that everyone could sign. Unfortunately because of the flood waters not all the guest could get through so I hope they sign it for him as they call in, in the coming weeks.
