Scrappin' for a good cause
I churned out these little 6x6 mini pages last Friday night. There are 14 all together. Only took a couple of hours and it was a lot of fun. They are to go to a group of disadvantaged kids who will attend a camp in March. They use them to store their photos and remember the fun times they had.
More info is available here from Michelle and here from Julie.

Tagged!!!!

I've been TAGGED!
Thanks Anita for picking me! I am flattered to be asked, but now think WHAT am I going to say!!! Easy solution.... I am going to cheat. I was tagged with something similar last year....... if you read back then, sorry for the duplicate!
THE RULES:
1. Once you are tagged, link back to the person who tagged you.
2. Post THE RULES on your blog.
3. Post 7 weird or random facts about yourself on your blog.
4. Tag 7 people and link to them.
5. Comment on their blog to let them know they have been tagged.

So here are 7 things about me...
1. I have a deformed right hand. I was brought up with the attitude that it won't be a problem unless I make it a problem. I love my mum for that.
2. I love food, reading about it, cooking, EATING. But I get bored with cooking dinner evernight. It has to be different and interesting for me to be bothered with it. I am married to a meat and veg kinda guy, so every so often I have to serve peas and mash on the side to keep a happy house hold!
3. I tend to clean in my pyjamas. Unlike the fly lady, if I get up and get dressed then I am unlikely to achieve as much. Once the work is done I can shower and get dressed and I am ready for the day.
4. I have three colours of pegs for the clothes line. I like to use one colour per load of washing. I don't like different coloured pegs on the same line so each load starts a new line. I fold at the line, so if I don't have time to fold it all and bring it in I leave it out!
5. I used to scuba dive in my single days and have been on a shark feeding dive ( I wasn't the shark food!), deep dives, night dives.
6. I am an only child. I never thought I would have children when I was growing up. I never had anything to do with babies or young children until my oldest was born. She is now 6. Having my two daughters is the best thing that has happened in my life.
7. We live on a man made lake. I LOVE the lake. It is always beautiful to look at. I love the sunsets reflected in it. (regular readers may have noticed!) The picture above is tonight's sunset.
Well if you read this far, you have done well!
I am not going to tag anyone specifically, but have some fun if you want!

I'm Back!
I have been offline for what felt like FOREVER, due to problems with our internet. Seems Bigpond had a crash (that they don't want anyone to know about, including most of there staff) and have had problems rebuilding their files. We didn't exist as far as they were concerned and wouldn't recognise our modem. Each day that poor DH rang up about it he had to explain it to the person on the other end of the phone as they knew nothing about it. All fixed now, and we are well. It is rather minor in the whole scheme of things.
So did I get heaps of sewing and stitching done? Uhmmmm, no, BUT I do have a very tidy pantry!
Thanks so much for all the lovely comments I received about the sunset photos in my last post, 14 comments is the most I have ever had! Where possible I have replied personally and still have some to catch up on.
Today's pic is of Tess the Wonderdog, doesn't she look too cute!

Quilt A-long Block 12
DD2's Block 12
My Block 12
I need some contrasting fabric to finish these off the way I want to, but I am happy so far. Need to hunt out some more pinks to finish off DD1's.

"Z"
This week's Scatterdays is brought to you by the letter Z.
NO CATEGORIES!!!!
No categories made it easy. All we had to do was take 3 "Z" photos.
So I present to you ZUCCHINIS, ZEST and ZIPPER.
