Happy Birthday to me!!!

Yep I am 40 today!! I love my birthday. I always make a big deal out of it. After all if I don't who will? DH cooked bacon and egg sandwiches this morning for breakfast and took the girls to school for me.

My SIL is staying with us for a few days and that haul photographed above is from her!! All for me!! She brought them back from Japan for me. She thinks I should sell them on ebay. I think I am greedy enough to keep them :)

Thank you to the Chookster for the birthday announcement, and thank you to all who have sent me good wishes. I am off to shower and then sew!!

Fabric Shopping

It is not that often that I get to do some stash enhancement. In fact, I don't have much of a stash, I tend to buy for projects. So it was great to get some bargains!

The three pink FQ are to go into DD1's quilt along top. The rest is for a cushion and some bags.

I got 1 metre of the white and the orange. The orange is for my black and white quilt a long top, I wanted to trim that in orange and lime, but there was no lime to be bought so I am not sure if I will make orange the only contrast colour or hold out for the lime. The white is just to have on hand. I got half a metre of the purple and 40cm of the other patterned one.

I love fabric shopping!

Goodies in the mail......

This is the PIF gift I received from Tami. My first knitted dish cloth. I have wanted one for ages but think it is too nice to use! The coasters are fragrant and I am sure will let off a beautiful aroma when I rest my got cuppa on one. Lastly the linen towel is too nice to use! The stitches are tiny. Thanks so much Tami! Floss and Chook, thanks for your patience, yes I am working on it!

This next pile of goodies is from a Christmas in July swap I did with a non-blogging friend, Rosemary. There are two Christmas patterns, a colour wheel, a white pencil, a magnetic needle case and a finger guard.

We are all suffering with colds or a winter flu at the moment. Feeling pretty miserable today with a bright red nose! Take care were ever you are,
