But not by me!

DD1 (need to come up with a blog name for her, Mr Paradise is quite taken with his!) is taking part in her first swap, organised by Chookyblue for some blogger offspring. She is so excited by the idea, but just as quickly she walks away, so progress has been slow. Fortunately we are nearing the end as she needs to post off this week.

As for me, I am into papercraft again at the moment and have been making Christmas Cards. Weather here is so steamy, we are all enjoying the aircon.

friend to friend thanks so much

Unfortunately it takes a crisis to find out who your friends are. I now know I am blessed to have 3 of the best friends anyone could wish for. They blew me away with their generosity and love and concern during recent times. They filled my freezer with home cooked meals, they took the girls after school, and they constantly kept in touch so I knew I had support.

Well the four of us getting together is hard to arrange, but today we are having a 'scrappy lunch'. Over the course of lunch there will be about half an hour when we all should be together at the one place at the same time.

As this was a last minute plan I quickly stamped these thankyou candles. It is the first time I have seen them when it wasn't to collect a child or return a dish.

Some vanilla scented goodness will never make up for what they did for me, but it is a start to show them how much I appreciate it.

Fairy Biscuits

Found the recipe for these biscuits on Jodie Jellyware's Blog and they sounded nice and simple, but with a high yum factor.

I was right! But be warned they are very sweet.

The only change I made to her recipe was to add what probably amounted to a cup of butter in the end. My mixture was too crumbly to form into a sausage with just 3/4 of a cup.

Long Time No Blog

I know, I know, life has been crazy busy here for the last couple of months and unfortunately it hasn't all been good stuff. But the upside is DH and the girls are great and those on my sick list are now improving slowly.

I have done lots of running around after everyone and lots of killing time because it was just not worth going home. Yesterday during one such time I had the chance to pop into a local op shop and got these super cute plates and bowls in LIME GREEN. All together they cost a whole $4!! Perfect for morning cereal and toast.

Only two weeks from today and school breaks up for the summer!! Yeah!!! So looking forward to some down time.
