11-2 United No Longer

My first block in the Civil War Diary Quilt!

Row 11-2 United No Longer.

Just showed it to DH and he thinks it looks better than the one in the book!! Bless Him.

Thank you so much Peg - you know why.

I have learnt A LOT with this block. It has a lot of frog stitch in it. My first ever foundation piecing. GREAT for lining up points, once you know what you are doing.

Ok, that is one down, how many left to go?

Bless him indeed! What a lovely husband, or at least he knows what's good for him! I came home from the Club Quilt retreat with two quilt tops all pieced & quite different, showed them to my DH, and he asked if one was the backing for the other!!! Oh man - no idea! The first block looks great. Don't even think about how many to go!

WOW!!! I'm so impressed. It looks great! Love the colours you've used. Very striking.

Hi Jodie, I'm 'supposed' to be making this quilt too, but have had a big break from it. I'm a bit uncertain about paper-piecing too. I've followed instructions etc, but they don't seem to come out that well. Yours looks great.
