and my gift from Mr P and the girls was something I have been wanting for a while........
a manual typewriter!
a manual typewriter!
why you ask?
to use when card making and scrapbooking.
Ironically, this is a more modern typewriter and the font is a bit computer like, than the rounded typewriter text.
The girls had never seen one.
We have all had so much fun on it we used up the ribbon!
Yes you can still buy them, we are just waiting for it to arrive.
I am not one to name 'things' but I have the strong urge to christen HER Ollie.

happy birthday hope you got my message on the day.......so pleased you got just what you wanted........
Very interesting. I teach at a college and the students seem to forget (or never knew?) about West Germany. We have an old globe in a classroom and I am always explaining what the USSR was.
Happy B'day!!! What a great typre writter!!! I'm on the hunt for one of the old kinds too, I guess they're as rare as hens teeth these days, hey??
Hugs - Jodie :)
I have one too! I love my manual typewriter and the kids get a great kick out of it *smile*. When I first got it they didn't know what it was *lol* They think mum is an old dinosaur *smile*. toni xxx
I'm SO sorry I missed your birthday. Great pressie. I used to have one too. I'm sure I'd get R.S.I. now having to press those keys so hard.
Thank goodness you wrote what the label said 'cause I couldn't read it....
Have fun with Ollie xx
