SSCS SR

SR = Sent and received (lingo learnt from Chooky)

In this years SSCS I received my gift from Terry. Lucky Me! If you remember back to my post when I received the parcel well the goods description for customs was QUILT, and a quilt it was. I LOVE IT!

Now I must apologise for the quality of these photos, it has been raining NON STOP since at least Friday and it is very grey. But I had to share.

Ta Dah!

Here are some other goodies that were included, the needle book I shared when I opened the card, but I got some soap, a memo pad and pen and some variegated DMC.

Now to take these pics I cleared away Christmas from the dining room table. The dark blue at the head of the table is Mr P, thinking he is funny!

to show you how perfect the colours are, here is the bowl that normally sits on the table in non Christmas times......

the gold in the base and opal effect of the bowl work perfectly.

If you walked into our house you wouldn't know that I sew, or crochet, or probably even scrapbook. I am always making something for someone else. It is so nice to have something for me out on show. Thanks Terry.

Here is what I sent to Ruth

The colours are not true. Ruth likes brights. The lower part of the bag is hot pink and the top purple, with turquoise in between.

Thanks Chookster for another great swap.

SSCS Parcel Received

Well so much for December Daily huh? Lol. Life has beaten me a little this year, but it is all good. We are having lots of fun, I just haven't been blogging it.

But today something I just MUST blog about. My SSCS arrived all the way from Terry! in Ohio.

ooooooh! look at the goods description!

so here it is, out of the packaging but still wrapped up.

and here is an envelope with my name on it and a cute little snowman.

here is that cute little snowman on our tree. and just below him is.....

the present, STILL WRAPPED UP.

and if you look just a little further you will seen another present under the tree. That one is for me too, and it is also STILL WRAPPED UP.

but remember the envelope? I opened that! I don't remember any rules about the envelope, so I opened it!! and look was inside the card....... a cute little needle card. Thank you Terry.

and a big thank you to the Chookster.

I took the girls to see Santa today and get the all important photo. Although it is muggy as anything here and threatening to rain again, it is really starting to feel like Christmas!

SSCS Goodness (and sorry this post is so late)

I was so very lucky to receive my bundle of goodies from Diane Nagle of Peddlecar Quilts. My gifts included these decorations.....

some patterns Diane has created for P & B Textiles

Another of Diane's patterns, for a Christmas tree skirt

and this gorgeous apron. For years I have cooked in DH's "Daddy of the Year" BBQ apron so it is extra special to have one of my own! Very thoughtful Diane, I cook A LOT!

Now there was one more special extra in my parcel and that was the cutest strawberry pincushion you have ever seen, but I can't get the picture to load!

Thank you so much Diane.

I sent my SSCS parcel of goodies to Julie in the US.

A big thanks to the Chookster for all the time and effort she put in to make this the best swap.

Yes Please!

To my dear SSCS

I would love to see a picture of my "secret" gift. Please feel free to post a photo on your blog. I doubt that I will work out who you are, BUT it will be fun trying.

The lady I am sending my gift to has requested that it be kept a surprise and I respect that.
Some of you are so patient. Don't you realise half the fun is finding out early!!
