a cute blast from the past

miss paradise is 10.5 months old and tess the wonderdog must be pushing 3 and a half years. miss paradise turned 9 last week!

this was taken in our old house (we have been in our current house almost 7 years), and while neither ever touched the other they used to spend their time side by side.

I'm Back!

I have been offline for what felt like FOREVER, due to problems with our internet. Seems Bigpond had a crash (that they don't want anyone to know about, including most of there staff) and have had problems rebuilding their files. We didn't exist as far as they were concerned and wouldn't recognise our modem. Each day that poor DH rang up about it he had to explain it to the person on the other end of the phone as they knew nothing about it. All fixed now, and we are well. It is rather minor in the whole scheme of things.

So did I get heaps of sewing and stitching done? Uhmmmm, no, BUT I do have a very tidy pantry!

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments I received about the sunset photos in my last post, 14 comments is the most I have ever had! Where possible I have replied personally and still have some to catch up on.

Our Tess is Home

Tess didn't get home last night, the vet kept her again to be sure, but we were able to pick her up at lunch time today.

She is far from well. Still sluggish on her back legs, I had to help her into the car and then when she went outside to inspect her turf she tried to break into a run and couldn't.

Rob the vet said he was very worried about her Sunday night, he stayed with her for a long while and then went back in later to check on her.

We are to keep her quiet for a few weeks as her heart will take the longest to recover, watch her bowel movements and eating to ensure there is no paraylsis and give her soft food to eat. Have some premium mince out defrosting right now.

Her bark is still a squeak but like everything else it will improve in time.

I have asked the girls to be quiet as Tess needs her rest so they sat beside her making sure she was resting.

This is an old photo of her as a puppy with Russ's work boots, she was so cute (she is seven and a half now, still cute, just bigger!). At the moment she is lying in the entry way asleep and I can't take a photo with out disturbing her. There is current photo of her on my Mapleton post.
